About

Hi, I'm Dilip and this is my visual journal.

Photography is my way of connecting with the world and here's me sharing those connections with you.

I'm a wildlife and cultural photographer. I'm usually found gently negotiating space with tiny, slithery, jumpy, and feathery beings (they rarely agree). And when I'm not in the wild, I'm usually wandering through villages and towns across India, trying to capture the rhythm of everyday life and the stories stitched into faces, festivals, and forgotten corners. I just enjoy noticing the small things, because often, they tell the biggest stories.

I tend to speak very less, but that's only in the beginning! I love to teach and I enjoy sharing my experiences with people. I also curate experiences for people who are looking to learn wildlife photography through a venture called Travel wild with us. I also teach children, introduce them to the world of photography & nature.

So, if you come across someone sitting quietly on a muddy rock on a pouring rainy day with a camera, whispering to a frog, it's probably me. Feel free to say hi (but maybe not too loud, the frogs are generally shy).

Thanks for stopping by! I invite you to explore my world, one frame at a time.
